Every August we get calls from people who have measured a doorway, looked at their grand piano, and concluded the two things cannot possibly meet. Usually they can, but not by carrying the piano through flat.

Once they are off, the case sits on a purpose-built skid board, a low platform on castors that the piano is winched or tilted onto.
